Apparently, the Devil Brain Works Nights

Hilde likes to talk about the "miracle" of the food noise being zapped away, and she continues to be in awe of how quiet Brain has been. But let's be real. Taking a GLP doesn't mean the food noise completely disappears and the weight just magically drops off and TADA!

It's work.

Brain used to be a little as*hat in the evenings before starting on the GLP. Now, the night is mostly manageable, similar to a smooth airplane flight with the occasional minor turbulence that makes you think, "F*ck, are we gonna crash and burn?" But then the bumpiness smooths out and you know you're gonna make it.

So like anything else in life, making changes requires Hilde to, well, make actual changes. Here a couple of changes she's made.

  1. She's actively reframing the sh*t out of any unhelpful thoughts that break through the magic of the GLP. She's always been a great reframer. Except for food thoughts. Those buggars just would NOT let go despite Hilde being a therapist and knowing how to do it well. Eventually, she gave up on modulating Brain's food noise. She is, after all, only human.

  1. She's created a "toolbox," to help support her GLP journey. It's not a restrictive toolbox; it changes as she needs it. Some of the things in this toolbox are about giving herself permission to do, think, or make choices that she needs. Take the case of her kinda weird tater-taco invention the other day. She's decided to focus less on inventing AMAZING GLP HIGH PROTEIN MEALS and just eat protein-modified versions of what she's already familiar with.

  1. Another item in her toolbox is art and she created a GLP FUN TRACKER that she uses. It's colorful, keeps her focused on positives and has a bunch of adorable pieces of clipart to print and glue or make into stickers. It's simple, it feeds (pun intended) her need for creativity, and keeps her focused on the positives.

If you wanna take a look and grab the GLP FUN TRACKER, you can get it here. Enjoy!

If this made you laugh or feel less alone, a coffee

helps Hilde keep creating.
